CANADA Maple Batalia was killed at the parking lot of Surrey Fraser University on September 28, 2011. She had been shot five times. Autopsy revealed that Maple,19, had been cut on the head 11 times. Ex boyfriend Gurjinder Dhaliwell, 24, was charged with first degree murder. He pleaded guilty to second degree murder at New Westminster Supreme Court on March 1 and will be sentenced today.
